Assistant Chief Engineer/ Senior Manager

Reporting to the Head of Facilities, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the Club’s engineering operations, building maintenance, and upgrading projects. You will ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the Club’s facilities while leading the engineering team to maintain operational continuity and support strategic objectives.

We are looking for someone who has

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in a similar capacity, including project management responsibilities
• In-depth technical knowledge in building and facilities management, CERT, risk assessment and workplace safety and health
• Capability to problem solve and make rational decisions under pressure

• Flexibility to work beyond regular hours, weekends and public holidays

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of building condition, equipment, and mechanical plant; identify maintenance needs and implement actions to ensure safe, efficient, and optimal operations
• Oversee and coordinate all engineering-related requests as well as the club’s maintenance planning and defect rectification, ensure timely completion of works with minimal disruption
• Drive the club’s sustainability targets by identifying and implementing energy management and green building initiatives
• Mentor the Engineering team; oversee staffing, deployment, training, and performance to ensure operational excellence
• Lead risk assessment for the Engineering team and ensure full compliance at all times
• Manage departmental budgets, CapEx, and purchases, and ensure timely renewal of service agreements, certifications, and permits
• Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and statutory requirements
• Oversee and coordinate all upgrading projects undertaken by Facilities department
• Provide relevant support for club events and any other responsibilities assigned
